Sigma dp0 Quattro: the power of imagination

 

The four FLD low dispersion elements of the optical system, the two SLD very low, and the two aspheric lenses at two ends of the 11/8 scheme, enables this Sigma  lens/sensor combination to stay away from distortion, and chromatic aberrations that, on an apparatus like this, certainly intended to reportage and cheerful color faces with the many troubles to operate with a so complex electronics, but necessary to manage this sensor UNIQUE of its kind.
 
One of the additional features of this compact camera, certainly is the adjustable multiple format 
 
 
from the whole of a 3:2
to a 4:3 good for TV and older PC monitor
to the 6:7 as the same medium format camera
up to 1: 1 useful to insert square prints in albums
 
moreover the panoramic format
16: 9
and 21: 9
in my opinion the most effective, relating to the APS-C sensor
 
giving the intrinsic possibility of this sui generis compact camera, more potential creative previewing, so 'still you do not have to switch from PC to scale files after shooting.
Thanks to files size generated by this so special sensor, which in the smaller format size, the 1:1, still provides a 50.7 MB RAW file, or a 18,8MB jpg (5120x5120), enough to obtain large prints with adequate details.
