Alcuni esemplari della prima produzione del nuovo 300 mm (segnatamente le matricole inferiori a 205101) soffrono di problemi nella gestione del VR a tempi intorno al 1/125 di secondo quando utilizzati con D800/D800E/D810.
 

Firmware update details
We have confirmed that when the AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR lens is used with the D800, D800E or D810, images captured at shutter speeds of around 1/125 s with the VR function enabled (NORMAL or SPORT) sometimes exhibit noticeable blur. To reduce the occurrence of this, we will offer a service for updating your AF-S NIKKOR 300mm f/4E PF ED VR firmware. When cameras other than the D800, D800E or D810 are used, this firmware update is not needed.
Updating lens firmware
Users of the D800, D800E, or D810 who are concerned about this issue may take or send their lens to an Nikon Service Centre, where your lens firmware will be updated free of charge.
Identifying lenses with which the firmware has already been updated
Firmware for lenses with a serial number of 205101 or later have already been updated.
*Depending upon the way the camera is held when shooting, or the shooting conditions, images may be blurred even after this lens firmware is updated.
 

 
Nikon ha risolto con un aggiornamento del firmware che viene fatto direttamente in fabbrica per i modelli successivi, deve essere fatto a cura dell'utente per gli esemplari affetti.

E' di tutta evidenza che questo problema ha di fatto bloccato la circolazione di questo obiettivo che risulta "non disponibile" ovunque.

Non è che Canon le azzecchi senza macchia eh... E Sigma per ovviare a problemi di maf ha ideato una base per la calibrazione... Che paghiamo. Poco, ma paghiamo.

Affligge un po' tutta la moderna industria, tranne pochissimi top-brand.

Si e no. 

Sigma non puó intervenire sui corpi macchina, e deve arrangiarsi (e credo sia uscita con una buona idea).

 

Che poi il dock serva anche a mettere una pezza alle tolleranze di produzione (parlo dei non-Art), é un altro discorso.

In ogni caso, degli ultimi 5 acquisti solo 2 sono Nikon, e come spesa complessiva non giungono ad un 6 della spesa per il resto... se contiamo anche che ho venduto un pezzo grosso Nikon, fate presto a trarre le conclusioni.
