Sigma sd Quattro, a slate blackboard...

Sigma sdQuattro Foveon Sigma dp Merrill Sigma Art Art 50mm f/1.4 Nikon D810 Yamaki

a surface on which the sign remains

The combined granted us with the excellent Art Sigma 50mm f / 1.4 due to the small size (1.5x) of the sensor, transforms this objective in a 75mm-equivalent .
This condition has not limited my operativity, but it has made me choose subjects according to this available angle.
Luckily my city and its surroundings, which use almost always in all my testing photo sets , lends itself to any type of photographic research and then, given this sensor characteristics, I headed without fail in two of the most popular monumental sites:
starting immediately from the Benedictine cloister of the monumental Monreale Cathedral, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site and without special skills, visually sacred architectural jewel of the 1100 Norman-Arabic Sicilian.

Close to the Benedictine convent,in the next to the huge Dome, Immagine Allegata: 0028 SDIM0377 1-1600 sec a f - 5,6 ISO 125 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG
the cloister consists of a squared peristyle of 47 meters on each side Immagine Allegata: 0005 SDIM0291 1-50 sec a f - 8,0 ISO 320 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG Immagine Allegata: 0014 SDIM0329 1-50 sec a f - 10 ISO 320 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG
and well characterized in one of its corners from a separate internal colonnade inside which is a fountain
(Shown here with another wide-angle camera, for better understanding) Immagine Allegata: 0001 Max Aquila photo (C) 301016_1300116.JPG

Its substantial figure is constituted by the enormous quantity and quality of carved figures to adorn its many columns,
Immagine Allegata: 0015 SDIM0334 1-200 sec a f - 4,0 ISO 320 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG
and gold leaf decorations of many of them, all around the cloister Immagine Allegata: 0004 SDIM0287 1-50 sec a f - 5,6 ISO 320 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG Immagine Allegata: 0018 SDIM0341 1-125 sec a f - 4,0 ISO 320 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG Immagine Allegata: 0030 SDIM0411 1-640 sec a f - 2,8 ISO 125 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG
including the descriptive capacity of Sigma sdQuattro with its Art 50/1.4 move smoothly, in some cases facilitated in close focus operated with an additional lens Marumi DHG 77mm

Elements and figures really difficult to visually selectively from our minds, able to create a "summa" of what eyes can receive, appears to the surface from columns long observed over the years, but never with this analyticity

Playing with depth of field of  a 75mm-eq on this sensor, greatly increases the feeling of three-dimensionality Immagine Allegata: 0012 SDIM0311 1-80 sec a f - 8,0 ISO 320 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG Immagine Allegata: 0019 SDIM0344 1-160 sec a f - 2,0 ISO 320 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG
Immagine Allegata: 0027 SDIM0375 1-125 sec a f - 8,0 ISO 400 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG Immagine Allegata: 0029 SDIM0380 1-60 sec a f - 5,6 ISO 125 Max Aquila photo (C).JPG
for which the sensor resolution reaches levels hardly even matched  by  macro dedicated optics usually played.
